From hiding in plain sight to living with full presence.
I spent years splitting myself in two to fit in. Today, I help gay men integrate their head, heart, and gut to live a life of true connection.
I grew up in a traditional family where what I felt remained invisible, unspoken. On TV, I saw glimpses of "gay life," but I struggled to see myself in those flashes on the screen. I felt a disconnect — not just from the world, but from myself.
For a long time, I felt I had to choose: I could be a man, or I could be gay. I felt I had to give up a piece of my soul just to be accepted.
During my university years, I organized gay pub crawls in Amsterdam for four years. I loved bringing people together, creating a safe space in the chaos of the night. But I noticed something: even in the middle of the crowd, real connection was missing. We were all there, but we weren't truly seen. We've become experts at quick contacts, yet we starve for deep, authentic bonds.
Breaking the cycle of “Push and Pull.”
In my own relationships, I was a master of the “attract and repel” dance. I knew the fear of letting someone too close, the pressure to be perfect, and the exhaustion of carrying everything alone.
But I also discovered the liberation that comes from asking for help. I learned that showing up as your full, messy, authentic self is the only way to find freedom. Now, I use that experience to guide men toward their own path of softness, strength, and healthy connection.
